The amazing people listed here are CCU’s founding members. They're the first one who joined during our soft launch phase and the one who helped bring this collective to life. Right now, CCU isn’t legally incorporated yet, which means this group is not a formal Board. Think of them as the launch team, the ones who laid the groundwork so CCU could exist at all.
As we move toward incorporation, we’re committed to expanding our leadership to include a broader range of voices that reflect Canada’s diversity, across origins, cultures, languages, and lived experiences.
Our goal is to build a leadership team that feels as representative and welcoming as the community we’re here to support.

Dominik Marchand
Bio:
Dominik "Omnik" Marchand is an animal rarely seen in Québec. In his natural habitat, he primarily subsists on tea. He spends his days playing cozy video games, participating in podcasts, and navigating the bureaucracy in which he works. You may also find him tinkering with rules or hacking tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs). He particularly enjoys game jams. Omnik’s recent creations include The Tea Road, Vers le Sommet, and Wander. His inspirations range from the New School Revolution (NSR) to Powered by the Apocalypse (PbtA) games and storygames. Roles: Founder
Cédric Ferrand
Bio: Hello, my name is Cédric Ferrand and I'm 49 years old. Although I was born in France, I've lived in Montreal for over 20 years, where I work as an office worker by day and a role-playing game designer/novelist by night.
Depending on the project, I work as a mercenary for publishers or develop games on my own. CCU gives me the chance to collaborate with Canadian creators, even though we're usually relatively reclusive creatures. It's very refreshing to realize that there are actually a lot of us.
Roles: Founder
Morgan Eilish
Bio: Morgan Eilish [she/her] is a Canadian TTRPG designer, writer, artist, and project manager with a passion for telling queer, spicy and emotional stories with complex characters. She's worked on third party content for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition, Monster of the Week, Spire, Heart, and Apocalypse Keys. She's also written a bounty for Huckleberry RPG and a number of original games. Her game Demonic Deals was nominated for Best 1 Page TTRPG in the 2024 CRIT Awards.
In her spare time she grows vegetables on her balcony garden, quilts, and makes historical costumes. If she doesn’t teach herself a new crafty skill 2 or 3 times a year, she will simply perish. Her most recently acquired skills are mead making, and book binding. Next on the list is sandal making.

Roles: Founder, Editor
Maxime DeBleu
Bio: Maxime DeBleu designs stuff. That makes him a Designer. Industrial designer (toys), Game designer (Assassin’s Creed, Colt Express), Interactive designer (Lune Rouge), Novel designer (I know, it’s actually called “writer”), UX designer (tiny local businesses like TVA and Hydro-Québec)… and of course TTRPG designer.
From what published TTRPG product would you know him from? Ask again soon when SpeedHeroes gets officially released. Meanwhile, if you talk to him, please insist that he finishes this game already. This project started ten years ago, you know. There’s so much “one more little tweak” one can do. Anyway… Back to the bio. If you think his favorite color is blue because of his last name, well, you’re right. Bravo. Here, 500XP for you. So. Hum. What should be mentioned in a bio? He lives in Montréal because he thinks that this is the best city in the world. Is it because of poutine, bagels and smoked meat? I can’t confirm nor deny.
So it’s getting late, let’s end this. Maxime is a trypophobic supertaster with hypodipsia who rides a Halfbike. Have fun googling.
Roles: Founder
Fraser Ronald
Bio: Fraser Ronald mostly designs TTRPGs and the adventures that support them that he publishes through Sword’s Edge Publishing. He’s done a few historical games like Centurion: Legionaries of Rome, Kiss My Axe, and Nefertiti Overdrive. He’s released other TTRPGs like the pulp-inspired League of Misfits, the super-heroes in the post-apocalypse game Riggers: Meta-Humans in a Shattered World, and both The Wall and Starship Commandos.
His main efforts are to support Sword’s Edge, a generic TTRPG, and Sword Noir: Hardboiled Sword & Sorcery, a Sword’s Edge system RPG. Most recently he has screamed into the void with F#ck ‘Em Up. He spent a few years in South Korea, but is now in Ottawa, Canada’s capital. He was one of the co-hosts of both the Accidental Survivors and the Ottawa Tabletop Game Designers Podcast. Neither of those is still around. But he is, and he’s still writing, still playing, and still looking to have fun.
Roles: Founder, Facilitator, and Onboarder
Simon Goudreault
Bio: Simon is a narrative designer, game designer, and writer. He's worked on games such as The Witcher TTRPG, Sandy Petersen's Cthulhu Mythos, Dark Matter, and Allen Panakal's Ancient Ones. By day, he works at a game studio making board games, and at night he works on his own games, or those of others. No, he does not sleep. Yes, he very much wants to.
Roles: Founder
Jonathan Sévigny
Bio: I am full-time TTRPG designer, and freelance creature artist, graphic designer, book editor (novels), and EN/FR translator. I am also 1/3 of Wendigo Workshop, TTRPG publishers from Québec, Canada, made of indigenous, queer, and neurodivergent people! I love to collaborate with other creators and help them bring their project to life, either by offering resources or connecting them to the services they need. Before throwing myself to the wolves and becoming a freelance worker, I worked at Gearbox Studio as a QA tester, a job I really liked and taught me a lot of things (but I love what I do now more)!
I love horror (especially queer horror, and the overall relationship between queerness and horror), animals, and monsters. I have two Basset-hounds, two cats, two species of isopods, and mealworms (yep, that's as much work as it seems)!
